Volcanic Tongue is a compilation album companion to David Keenan’s 2025 collection of music writing titled Volcanic Tongue: A Time-Travelling Evangelist’s Guide To Late-Twentieth-Century Underground Music. It collects twenty of Keenan’s best ‘tip of the tongue’ recommendations he and Heather Leigh made when they ran the Glasgow-based record shop Volcanic Tongue between 2005 and 2015, which specialized in highlighting tiny home-pressed runs of DIY music from artists all around the world. Includes tracks from Ashtray Navigations, The Bachs, Idea Fire Company, Hospitals, JD Emmanuel, Sachiko, Christina Carter, Vox Populi! and more.
