THIS IS FUNKY JAZZ - VARIOUS ARTISTS

This Is Funky Jazz dives into the groove-driven soul-jazz sound that inspired the acid jazz movement of the 1990s. Drawing from late 1960s and early 1970s sessions, the compilation highlights the raw, rhythmic energy that filled lounge bars and small clubs across Black America.

With deep basslines, crisp drum breaks and infectious organ and horn arrangements, these tracks embody the crossover spirit between jazz, funk and soul. Carefully curated by BGP, this LP delivers a consistently high-quality listening experience from start to finish.
