Floodland is the second studio album by The Sisters of Mercy, originally released in 1987.

At the end of their US tour in June 1985, The Sisters of Mercy effectively split up. They returned in November 1987 with Floodland (UK #9), and, still supported by the reliable Doktor Avalanche, Eldritch hired former Gun Club and Fur Bible bassist Patricia Morrison to complete the new line-up.
Featuring hit singles such as This Corrosion (UK #7), Dominion (UK #13), and Lucretia My Reflection (UK #20), the album’s production duties were shared with the famed Meat Loaf writer Jim Steinman.
