Rock 'n' Roll with the Modern Lovers is the second studio album by American rock band Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers, released in August 1977 through Beserkley Records. Moving away from the gritty, Velvet Underground-inspired proto-punk of their original unreleased 1972 recordings, this album embraces a stripped-back, lo-fi acoustic sound heavily inspired by 1950s rock and roll and traditional folk music.
