THE BLUE NILE - A WALK ACROSS THE ROOFTOPS - SLEEVE - VG+ / VINYL - NM

A Walk Across the Rooftops is the debut studio album by the Scottish sophisti-pop band The Blue Nile, released on 30 April 1984. Celebrated for its unique fusion of austere electronic instrumentation, lush symphonic arrangements, and raw emotional delivery, the album has maintained a enduring legacy as a masterpiece of 1980s pop perfection.

The record originated under unusual circumstances when the audio company Linn Products commissioned the struggling Glasgow trio to record a track demonstrating the high fidelity of their new studio console. The resulting track, "A Walk Across the Rooftops," so impressed the company that they founded Linn Records specifically to bankroll and release the full album.
