The convergence of two (or more) titanic Tāmaki Makaurau noise-punk combos — Olympus and Octopus — O/PUS are the "folk-horror / post-swim" collective of Liz Mathews (Hex, Goldifox), Beth Dawson (Ducklingmonster, Futurians), Jade Farley (Pumice, Cloven Hearts) and Stefan Neville (Pumice, Coolies). Already famed locally for their awe-inspiring live onslaught, the oceanic four-piece today share their debut album Out At Sea, The Water Is Deep, pressed onto shiny vinyl LP disc via 1:12 Records and launching digitally via Stabbies.

Make your own descent into the sonic sub-basement of Audio Foundation this Saturday to experience O/PUS in action, with special guests Drop Zone (who recently unveiled their latest album (Don't Think We Did) and Roy Irwin's fab new band too...
