**Special Edition with 6 Bonus Tracks** The second LP from Dan Snaith back when he hadn't been name-hobbled by an aged Canadian punk, 'Up In Flames' was originally released under the Manitoba moniker - but is here emblazoned with his new proper-noun Caribou. Positioned at quite a tangent from his debut LP, 'Up In Flames' saw Snaith indulging his love of Sunny D instrumentation - resulting in a sound that recalls a chalk mural left out in a summer downpour. Originally just the one disc, the kindly people over at Leaf have now rustled up a second disc that includes the long deleted 'Jacknuggeted' and 'Hendrix K.O.' EP's, further bolstering the frazzled (in a good way) spirit of the original. Even though there are numerous influences and elements twirling round the haphazard but lovable mix-up, the sound is pure Caribou; with several tracks giving you sun in your eyes madchester-indie pop and with 'Bijoux' it's back to the seventies for a stoner love psych vibe. Flame-grilled!
